— About us
Alvi Group has been part of the injection moulding industry since 1961. Today, we are a Nordic-rooted manufacturing group with operations in Norway, Sweden, Poland and China, more than 100 injection moulding machines and automation equipment, and annual revenues above €50 million.
Alvi Group (formerly Industriverktøy / IV Group) was founded in 1961 by Georg M. Bygballe, a Danish toolmaker. What started with toolmaking has grown into a group delivering high-quality, precision-engineered solutions for industrial applications, medical technology, automotive, and other demanding sectors.
From the beginning, we’ve focused on two things:
• Deep technical competence (the kind you only get from doing the work)
• Long-term partnerships with customers who value stability, collaboration, and trust
Today we operate in Norway, Sweden, Poland, and China. That gives our customers local support—with global capability behind it.
A big part of how we work is simple: strong routines and structured improvement. We combine tradition with modern methods so processes stay efficient, sustainable, and future-ready.

Industriverktøy is founded in Leksvik as a toolmaker company.
Injection moulding is introduced in the company.
Operations start in Suzhou, China, creating IV Techmould.
Moulding operations merge with Microplast AS in Stjørdal, forming IV Moulding AS.
IV Group acquires Frohe Group in Sweden and Poland, strengthening the group in medical and expanding geographically.
A full rebrand and name change: Alvi Group. The name “Alvi” evolves from the Norse word “alfr” meaning river—always the same river, always new water. A pretty good metaphor for continuous improvement.
